Municipality of the District of Chester
Fire & Emergency Response

Thank you for visiting the Fire and Emergency Services web site for the Municipality of the District of Chester.

Our seven district volunteer fire departments, Blandford and Area Fire Rescue, Hubbards Fire Department, Chester Fire Department, Chester Basin Fire Department, Western Shore Fire Department, Martin's River Fire Department, and New Ross Fire Department are all committed to serving our community needs.

We invite and encourage you to explore the Departments which offers useful information on each of our individual departments including such areas as their History, Membership, and Apparatus and Equipment. Many of our departments have hall facilities that are available for community use.

Our volunteers participate in many community activities, support important charities  and sponsor several special events each year for you and your familiy to enjoy.

We have included several sections on Safety and First Aid in an effort to keep you advised and up to date on the ways you can help keep your home and family safe throughout the year. Recently we have added a quick link to our section on Product Recalls to provide you with information on products that pose a burn safety or fire hazard.

As we strongly believe in the benefit of educating our children in fire safety and prevention we have included a section For the Kids providing valuable information and great learning activities. Please spend some time with the children on these sites and get them interested in proper safety behaviour.

We have included Helpful Links providing access to many other useful and informative fire and emergency services web sites.

The News and Events and the Calendar of Events sections are available to you to inform you of recent fire services news and to let you know when any special department activities are scheduled. Check them out and perhaps we will see you at the next Fire Department Breakfast!

Our Volunteering section outlines the benefits to you and your community if you can spare some time to help out your local department. We would love to have you on our team!

Finally the Contact section provides direct non emergency email linkage to the Municipal Fire Services. Let us know on how you think we can improve our services. We would like to hear from you.

We welcome you and encourage you to explore the site and become involved with your local Fire Department and the community it serves.
